Picture of RCLS Van Ramapo Catskill Library System (RCLS), working cooperatively with its member libraries, provides  coordinated services, guidance,training, support and leadership to member library trustees and staff to sustain their effort to be responsive, proactive, vital community institutions that meet the changing needs of their users in Orange, Rockland, Sullivan and southern Ulster counties.

Since 1959, RCLS has been working in cooperation with member libraries to help raise awareness about library services and to work to eliminate barriers to library access and use.

Saturday, July 7 help support the Library Association of Rockland County (LARC) at Provident Bank Park for Geek the Library Night as the Rockland Boulders take on the Quebec Capitals. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to participating public libraries. To purchase your tickets, log on to the Rockland Boulders Web site. Fireworks will follow the game.

The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessore

William Joyce's THE FANTASTIC FLYING BOOKS OF MR. MORRIS LESSORE was inspired by the late Bill Morris, Vice President and head of Library Promotion at HarperCollins, and Coleen Salley, storyteller, professor, author, and television commercial actress. This animated short film won an Oscar Sunday, February 26.Click here if you would like to watch, be sure to do so soon, as it is only available for a limited time.
