Chair Dan Hulse called the meeting to order at 1:37 pm. Linda Aumick made a motion to accept the minutes of the May 19, 2011 meeting as submitted. Joann Hargabus seconded. Motion passed.

ISSUES & CONCERNS:

Leslie Riley updated the committee on the current status of NY State Outreach funding to RCLS. She then shared what might be coming in 2012.

Leslie Riley then reported on the one-on-one Help for You Job Consultations being held at libraries throughout the RCLS service area. She gave the group an overview history of previous job searching assistance projects There are 11 RCLS member libraries that have a link on their websites to a Heres Help lab for job searching and other Job Information Centers.

Leslie Riley demonstrated how to find LibGuides via the RCLS homepage and all the features that each guide has.

COSAG members suggested for Leslie Riley to investigate using volunteers from Pathstone (formerly Green Thumb), to get specific, task-oriented projects accomplished.

ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM THE COSAG:

Linda Aumick and Joanne Hargabus shared that Action Toward Independence (ATI) will be conducting a Bowl-a-Thon fundraiser on November 19 at Kiamesha Lanes in Monticello.

Dan Hulse shared that the 2011 Occupations Gala Dinner will be held this Saturday, October 29 at Anthonys Pier 9 in New Windsor. The honoree for the evening will be realtor R.J. Smith. The keynote speaker will be ex-Governor of New York State David Paterson.

The Autism speaks now Walk-a-thon will be held this Saturday, October 29 at the Sullivan County Community College campus in Loch Sheldrake.
