The Ramapo Catskill Library System (RCLS), is seeking an innovative and passionate individual to work with our team. The duties of the Community Engagement and Talent Development Specialist span developing and maintaining community relationships, enhancing services to our member libraries, and developing educational opportunities to advance our colleagues’ competencies.
The Specialist will work closely with the Executive Director and the management team to plan, measure, and assess programs and services. The position includes work with correctional facility librarians to enhance their services and skills, collaboration with community organizations on initiatives, and oversight of the implementation of NY State grants.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in fostering relationships with community groups and initiating and managing new projects and services. The applicant must have excellent public speaking and written skills.
Qualifications: Four (4) years of professional experience in community engagement or human services, one (1) year of which must be in an administrative capacity, and two (2) years of project management experience. A Master of Library Science (MLS) degree or Master of Human Service or equivalent degree in a closely related field is preferred.
The position offers a starting salary of $55,000 (salary negotiable based on experience and education), a competitive benefits package, and an opportunity for remote work.
