Nyack Library Children’s Room Information Specialist

PT Children’s Room Information Specialist  – $19.38/hour   

    Duties include: 

• Monitoring behavior and safety in the Children’s Room  
• Assisting children and parents in use of resources in the Children’s Room including book selection, researching information, computer & iPad usage  

• Assisting with organizing books and cleaning up toys  
• Conducting programs for babies, toddlers and school age children in person and remotely 

  Qualifications: 

• B. A. degree, experience supervising and working with children  
• Teaching degree/experience preferred 

• Knowledge of children’s literature, child development and literacy 
• Library experience or Library school enrollees preferred 

Hours: T 2:30-8; Th 1-5; Fri 2:30-6  &
1^st and 5^th Saturdays, 9:30-5
