Percent of Duties Librarian I Job Responsibilities
80% Reference or Children’s Desk
Answer reference questions via telephone and in person
Assist patrons with online database/Internet searches
Assist patrons with finding materials
Assist patrons with computers/printing
Place holds on items requested by patrons
Manage passive library programs as needed
Submit interlibrary loan requests as needed
Record statistics
Organize and maintain Federal/State Income Tax forms
15% Collection Development
Maintains collection, through shelf reading and other requested collection development activities
5% Professional Training and Development
Attends Warner Library professional activities/workshops
Job Details: Applicants should have a Masters in Library Science, Information Science, or similar degree. Position starts at $27.50 an hour, with a differential for Sunday hours. Weekends are required.
