Middletown Thrall Library is seeking to fill part –time Librarian I positions in our Adult Services Department to work up to 20 hours per week providing point of use reference services at our computer workstations and via telephone at our Youth Services and Adult Reference desks.
Morning, afternoon and evening shifts are available covering the Library’s hours of operation as follows:
Monday through Thursday – 9:00am – 8:00pm
Friday – 9:00am – 6:00pm
Saturday – 10:00am – 5:00pm – (September through June)
Saturday – 10:00am – 2:00pm, (July and August)
Sunday – 12:00pm – 4:00pm (September through June)
Closed Sunday – July and August
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must be in possession of a master’s degree from an American Library Association accredited M.S.I. S. program and a NYS Professional Librarian’s Certificate.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must possess strong customer service and technology skills. Previous experience using the KOHA ILS and conversational Spanish language fluency a plus.
COMPENSATION: $29.00 per hour
Placement in the position requires approval from the Orange County Department of Human Resources. Permanent placement in the position requires successful completion of a probationary period. Background check required
