Goshen Public Library & Historical Society, 366 Main Street, Goshen, NY is seeking a part-time library clerk to join our tech services team.
Schedule: Tuesday-Friday 18-20 hours/week
Starting Salary: $15.20/hour
Duties include but are not limited to:
Receiving materials
· Reconciling packing slips/invoices to go to business office
· Physical processing of materials: applying spine labels, covers, dustjackets etc.
· Creating, updating and maintaining item records in the library catalog
· Maintaining/repairing materials
· Processing materials to be withdrawn
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Proficient in/ readily adaptable for changing technology
· Precision and attention to detail
· Ability to do physical work: lift boxes, move bookcarts, etc.
· Working knowledge of library services
· Organization skills including the ability to prioritize, multi-task,
· Perform a high volume of work with accuracy and attention to detail.
